I am still confused what copy is?
Sorry, its probably like when you sit down with your work peers and use words only you experts understand. Copy is short for copywriting and it simply means the words used to create a desire and motivation for sales. All the words on this page are copy, the words in TV or Radio commercials are copy, the stuff you see on billboards or get in the mail are copy. Most of the time you don’t notice it because that is the secret to good copy.
Why do I need “copy”?
Batteries power your toys but only when you put them in
A lot of people have really cool toys but the batteries are in the drawer
Great copy is like putting the batteries in your toys, they come to life
Connecting to your clients and prospects with great copy can make your business come to life
How much do your services cost?
It really depends on the project. Writing is so much more than just arranging words. There is learning about the market, researching the language they use and the pains they have. Understanding what others in the same market are doing and how to stand out. It would really be best to have a conversation first so we can see what your needs are and which of my packages best suit them.
Do you need a deposit?
The first time we work together I ask for 50% upfront and then the rest upon completion. This protects us both. I know I you are invested in the project which gives me the confidence and freedom to deliver my best work. It makes it win win.
How long will it take to write my copy?
It’s hard to say without knowing the project. Some projects simply take longer than others. But once we discuss things we can work out milestones and deadlines. For most things with a couple of rounds of reviews, you should expect around a week.
Can you do a rush project?
It depends on my availability and the size of the project, if I am able to squeeze it in it will cost a bit more.
What do you need to get started?
After we talk and we have outlined the scope of your project, I will let you know what materials will help me get the ball rolling, but things like market research, your customer personas, buyers journey and past copy that has worked (or hasn’t) are good places to start.
